I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! We spent our weekend in Oregon because my husband had to travel there for work. And even though it rained
all most of the time, it was still a blast and such a cool place to be. I had never been to Oregon before so I was extra excited and in awe the entire time. Although traveling with kids can be a total stressful nightmare, we still got in some fun stuff while we were there. Like checking out Portland from the sky:
Playing in the leaves at the park:
A spur-of-the-moment trip to Silver Falls State Park:
This waterfall was incredible! This is the South Falls area. Even though we were not planning on hiking at all, this was well worth the trip. Plus, it really wasn’t a “hike”–there was a path and everything. This waterfall was the first I had ever seen that you could actually walk behind. The path went all the way around it.
Even without the waterfall, this park is a “must-visit.” I can only imagine how much fun it would be during the summer. There is a playground for kids, several large grassy areas–one just for pets, a dining lodge, gift shop, campground, numerous paths/hiking/biking trails. This place is truly a wonderland and I can’t wait to go back during the summer.
And then of course, Halloween!
This was Finn’s first time trick-or-treating and both of the boys had a blast. And since we started so early, we were done by 7:30. Way to go, Daddy!
All in all, it was a great weekend and I can’t wait to get back to Oregon.
What did you do for Halloween weekend?
